Kartik is the Managing Director and co-founder of Zephyr Peacock India Fund. Previously, Kartik was a senior investment officer of an early stage Indian venture capital company, Ventureast Fund Advisors, which managed the Ventureast TeNet Fund, APIDC Venture Fund, and The Biotechnology Fund. Prior to that, has was part of the investment team of Toucan Capital, a Washington, D.C. area based early stage venture capital fund with over U.S. $180 million under management. He co-founded one of India’s first e-commerce transaction processing companies targeted at small businesses, and began his career as a member of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Kartik earned a Masters Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is a graduate of Drake University where he earned President’s Honors for outstanding research while majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics.
